Ukraine: purchasing of seeds is the major cost item in the production of peas
According to the results of the polling of Ukrainian agricultural producers, specializing in the production of peas, realized by experts of APK-Inform Agency, in 2012 the largest share of respondents (35%) spent 2001-3000 UAH/ha for growing of the crop. At the same time, in 2013 the index decreased to 25%.
In 2012 the lowest share of the questioned agrarians (15%) provided 3001-4000 UAH/ha for the reporting items, whereas in 2013 the index doubled - to 30%.
While considering the structure of the basic production costs of Ukrainian agrarians for growing of peas, we should note that the maximum share of costs covers the purchase of seeds. According to the respondents, the reporting index is followed by the cost for purchasing of plant protecting agents and mineral fertilizers. The costs for purchasing of machinery and fuel, and other cost items remained at the stable level.
