Crimean ports not to be competitive to the Ukrainian ports
If there is the positive communication with the Crimea, the ports will not be competitive to the other Ukrainian ports, declared the Managing Partner of the International Legal Service "Interlegal", Arthur Nitsevych on April 15, 2014.
The expert stated that the customs barriers, an increase of the State border crossing time, freight costs rise, etc., will influence on the competitiveness of the Crimean ports.
A.Nitsevych mentioned that the prospects to save the shipments from the Crimean ports at the average level to be provided by commodities supplies of Russia and the new subjects of Federation.
A.Nitsevych added that the Crimea will be more the naval base than the commercial cargo handling zone. At the same time, there are problems with the adaptation to the new regulatory rules: Russian legislation regulating the grain exports and sea transport, differs from Ukrainian.
