Odessa commercial port to increase its handling capacity to 10-12 mln tonnes
In 2015 the Odessa commercial port will increase its grain cargoes handling capacity to 10-12 mln tonnes owing the investment projects realization, declared the Deputy Manager of the Odessa Sea Port Authority, Ruslan Sahaudtinov on April 15, 2014.
R.Sahaudtinov stated as of to date there are few investment projects being realized in the port, allowing to increase the handling capacity.
According to R.Sahaudtinov, there is the grain terminal which is 90% equipped. To date works on building the second station on trucks unloading, two additional storages and setting up the additional ship-loading machine are being carried out. It will allow the terminal to increase the working capacity to 2.4 mln tonnes.
At the same time, the project of cooperation with the company “Brooklyn-Kiev” on building the grain terminal with the capacity of 4 mln tonnes was realized on 50%.
R.Sahaudtinov added that the first line was put into operation and they have already worked three vessels. The next year they plan to finish the project realization.
