The project cost for bottom dredging of the Dnieper river totals 20 mln UAH, said Vladimir Klimenko, President of Ukrainian Grain Association, on April 15 during his speech at the press-conference "Grain cargoes logistics: exports in the new environment of Ukraine".
According to him, the company Nibulon, which specialists had already worked out the project for dredging the Dnieper, is ready to realize the appropriate works at its expense within 3-4 months.
At first, the company plans to ship nearly 3 mln tonnes of grains by the Dnieper River, said the expert.
Also, V.Klimenko noted that development of navigation on the Dnieper would "take off some grain cargoes from motor roads”.
