Ukraine: sunflower oil exports reached 2.5 mln tonnes
In September-April period of 2013/14 MY Ukraine exported 2.5 mln tonnes of sunflower oil, an increase of 12% compared with the same period last season, declared Stepan Kapshuk, General Director of the association Ukroliyaprom, on March 5 at the press-conference "Oilseed market: prospects for development in the second half of the season, forecast for the harvest-2014".
He also noted that in the reporting period the production volumes of sunflower oil increased by 18% - to 3 mln tonnes.
According to S.Kapshuk, in the season-2013/14 sunflower oil production is estimated at the level of 4.3 mln tonnes, the exports - 3.7-3.8 mln tonnes, up 23% and 17% respectively, compared with the indices of 2012/13 MY.
