The current crisis in Ukraine had little influence on the export trading of Ukrainian flour, said Andrei Yakovenko, Director of SE Novopokrovsky Bakery Products Plant, on June 11 during the press-conference "Condition and prospects of the Ukrainian flour market in the current environment".

In particular, he noted that despite some problems with delivering of containers for flour shipment to the ports, all export contracts are fulfilled on time. Moreover, the reputation of Ukrainian flour millers as reliable partners contributes to development of the export segment. However, in Ukraine there is no well-developed mechanism of risk hedging.

At the same time, A.Yakovenko said that in the current year the company managed to sign contracts with flour importers of China. In addition, the company plans to get the access to the European market. However, not only flour, but also the grain shall be in compliance with the European standards, to enter the market.

But the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex is able to solve the reporting problems, concluded A.Yakovenko.
