In 2017, Bulgaria and Russia will demonstrate the maximum figures of average protein content in new crop wheat among all countries of the Black Sea region, declared the expert at SGS Ukraine, Oleg Onischenko during his report within frames of the Agro-logistics forum "Dnieper-Danube-Black Sea" on October 18 in Chisinau, Moldova.

According to SGS estimations, the forecast of the average indicator in Bulgarian wheat totals 12.45%, and Russian wheat - 12.4%. Also, the level of protein content in Serbian wheat will be fairly high - 12.2%, and Romanian wheat - 12%. The figure will become slightly lower in Ukraine (11.3%) and Moldova (11%), the expert explained.

At the same time, he noted that the maximum level of protein content in Ukrainian wheat even reaches 17%, which is one of the highest indices in the above mentioned region, and which comes second only to Bulgaria (17.04%). However, the minimum-maximum range for new crop Ukrainian wheat is rather high, and varies from 7% to 17%, which significantly decreases the average indices, added O.Onischenko.
