Grain Trading Summit

The National union of grain producers of Russia and APK-Inform Agency under support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, announce about holding of the International Grain Trading Summit - 2012 (April 26-29, 2012, Jordan, Amman).

The conference declared itself six years ago, becoming one of the key grain market events in the region of Middle East and North Africa. Gathering over 250 participants from around the world annually, the Summit provides an opportunity to leaders of the grain trading to give careful consideration and comprehend the basic events of the season, their causes and consequences, see new opportunities for next season.

Traders became the key segment of the target audience of the conference – both exporters from the Black Sea countries and the EU, and importers from Egypt and other countries of the region of the Middle East and North Africa. As a consequence, mending of the dialogue between the Black Sea exporters of wheat, maize, barley and other agricultural crops and importers from the Arab world regarding the further development of the grain trading between the countries, is the main purpose of the International Grain Trading Summit.

Traditionally, during recent years Egypt was the conference place, but in the current year the organizers decided to break the tradition and hold the event in the sunny country of Jordan. The country was not randomly chosen to carry out the Seventh International Grain Trading Summit. Located in the heart of the Middle East, Jordan can rightly be called as a small "Middle Eastern Switzerland". Thus, neighboring to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Israel turns the country into a gateway to the Arab land. At the same time, political and economic stability allows Jordan to become the "cornerstone" in business relations between various countries of the region and the remaining world. The current political situation has beneficial effects on formation of market relations and creation of the necessary conditions for development of mutually beneficial business cooperation of the CIS countries with the Middle East countries.
