According to data of ONICL, the main grain state operator of Morocco, in the current season the country is actively expanding the imports of grains. Thus, in the period from June to November of 2012/13 MY the country purchased nearly 2.8 mln tonnes of main grains, an increase of almost 2 times compared with the grain imports in the same period of the previous season. At the same time, analysts of ONICL forecast that in the short-term prospect the purchasing volumes will increase.
