China continues increasing the imports of Ukrainian sunflower oil
Since the beginning of the current season (September 2013) China already imported 212.4 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil of Ukrainian origin, while in the same period of 2012/13 MY the index totaled 43 thsd tonnes only. In particular, in December-January of 2013/14 MY the supply of Ukrainian sunflower oil to China totaled 53.6 thsd tonnes, against 7.7 thsd tonnes in the same period of the previous season.
We should note that according to estimations of the USDA, in the current season China will import nearly 400 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil, an increase of 10% compared with the previous MY. And according to estimations of APK-Inform Agency, Ukraine may supply nearly 330-350 thsd tonnes of the commodity in the reporting direction.
