Ukraine's presence on the grain market of China to strengthen - Noble Group
In the coming years the presence of Ukrainian commodities on the grain market of China will continue increasing, declared Paul Marland, Global Head of Grains and Oilseeds at Noble Group, on March 3 during his speech at the first international conference "Ukrainian grain to the world!" in Hong Kong.
The dependence of China on imported maize is growing from year to year in terms of development of the livestock sector. As a result, the country is forced to buy the increasing volumes of maize on foreign markets. And exactly the Ukrainian product will be able to satisfy the significant share of Chinese demand for maize, said P.Marland.
He also said that by 2022 the net imports of maize to China may reach 20 mln tonnes, as the grain shipment volumes to the country are growing while the exports of the grain from China stay at the low level.
