Ukraine is interested in the US experience in bioethanol production – O.Pavlenko

Ukraine is interested in using the US experience in the energy sector, particularly in the production of bioethanol, said Oleksiy Pavlenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, to Matthew Murray, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at the U.S. Department of Commerce, on February 3.

During the meeting the officials discussed various issues of bilateral trading between the two countries and business climate in Ukraine. Also, they negotiated on cooperation in the field of bioenergy, agricultural logistics and investments in the agricultural sector.

O.Pavlenko acquainted the US representative with the main directions of reforming of the Ukrainian agricultural sector - deregulation, the fight against corruption, adapting legislation in the field of agriculture to the European and global standards.
