In the first 8 months of 2015/16 MY (September-April), the exports of soybeans from Ukraine totaled 1.73 mln tonnes, a decrease of 11% compared with the same period last season (1.94 mln tonnes).
According to APK-Inform analysts, in 2015/16 MY Ukraine will supply 2.2 mln tonnes of the oilseed on foreign markets, down 9% compared with the previous season index (2.4 mln tonnes).
Thus, the potential for the oilseed exports in the remaining 4 months of the season (May-August) is estimated at the level of 470 thsd tonnes.
The growth of soybeans domestic processing became the major reason for reduction of Ukrainian soybean exports in the current MY. So, APK-Inform analysts forecasted the processing volumes in 2015/16 MY at 1.15 mln tonnes (up 16%).
