According to preliminary data of the polling of agricultural producers, annually realized by experts of APK-Inform Agency, the majority of agricultural producers (77%) will keep the planted areas under sunflower seed at the same level as last year, and nearly 3% of agrarians will begin growing the oilseed in the current year. At the same time, 12% of the respondents plan to increase the planted areas under sunflower seed by nearly 32% in the current year. Agrarians name the high demand and high profitability of sunflower seed production as the main factor in favor of increasing the planted areas under the oilseed. And 8% of the respondents are going to reduce the planted areas under sunflower seed by 24%, in order to observe the crop rotation demands and increase the areas under soybeans and maize.
