Crimea continued planting sunflower seed
According to the polling of agricultural producers realized by experts of APK-Inform Agency, the Crimea continues the planting campaign of sunflower seed.
The optimum air temperatures, established in early April 2014, and sufficient moisture content in the soil, contributed to further development of the oilseed planting works. In addition, it is worth noting that the majority of agrarians of the region announced on their plans to remain the planted areas at the last year level.
Also, some agricultural enterprises of the Crimea started planting sorghum.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine expects that the Crimea will plant sunflower seed throughout the areas of 13.2 thsd ha.
