The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia increased the forecast of grain harvest in the country in 2014 to 100 mln tonnes, declared Nikolai Fedorov, Head of the Ministry, on May 22.

He reminded that previously the Ministry forecasted grain harvest volumes in the current year at the level of 95-98 mln tonnes.

According to N.Fedorov, the forecast is quite satisfactory, and there are some reasons to even increase the forecast in the nearest days.

In addition, the Minister of Agriculture said that in the production balances of grains in Russia do not still include the Crimean grain volumes, which already have the signs of possible drought, according to N.Fedorov.
