Ukraine planted spring grains and pulses throughout 7.73 mln ha
As of June 6, 2014, agrarians of Ukraine planted spring grains and pulses (taking into account maize) throughout the areas of 7.73 mln ha, or 96% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
At the same time, on the same date last year Ukraine planted grains and pulses throughout 8.229 mln ha.
In particular, Ukraine planted maize throughout 4.787 mln ha (97%), buckwheat – 138 thsd ha (84%), millet – 95 thsd ha (87%), rice – 10 thsd ha (42%).
Also, sunflower seed planted areas reached 4.603 mln ha (101%), soybeans – 1.662 mln ha (99%).
