Ukraine planted spring grains and pulses throughout 7.74 mln ha
As of June 10, 2014, agrarians of Ukraine planted spring grains and pulses (taking into account maize) throughout the areas of 7.74 mln ha, or 96% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukraine planted maize throughout 4.795 mln ha (97%), buckwheat – 139 thsd ha (85%), millet – 95 thsd ha (87%), rice – 10 thsd ha (42%).
Also, sunflower seed planted areas reached 4.698 mln ha (103%), soybeans – 1.677 mln ha (100%).
