As of June 20, Ukraine harvested 0.5 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
According to operative data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, agrarians provide the harvesting campaign of early grains in six oblasts of Ukraine: Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Zakarpattia, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Kherson.
As of June 20 Ukraine harvested 499 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 189 thsd ha, with the average yield of 2.64 t/ha (in 2013 – 2.37 t/ha).
In particular, agrarians harvested wheat throughout 5 thsd ha. The produced volumes totaled 11 thsd tonnes with the yield of 2.09 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested barley throughout 184 thsd ha. The produced volumes reached 488 thsd tonnes with the yield of 2.65 t/ha.
Also, Ukrainian agrarians started harvesting rapeseed. The harvested areas reached 2 thsd ha, the volumes – 3 thsd tonnes.
The condition of agricultural crop areas is estimated as satisfactory.
