In Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson oblasts of Ukraine agrarians completed harvesting early grains and pulses, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food on August 1.
According to Ihor Shwaika, Head of the Ministry, agrarians of Kirovograd, Kharkiv, Poltava, Mykolaiv and Odessa oblasts almost reached the final stages of the harvesting campaign.
According to him, several oblasts already produced more than 2 mln tonnes of grains each, and Odessa oblast - 3 mln tonnes. Also, he said that in Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts showed the harvesting rates below the average level in the steppe zone, which already harvested grains throughout 95% of the planned areas, but the grain yield is higher compared with 2013.
I.Shwaika added that the crop losses in the Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts are not critical.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Dnipropetrovsk oblast produced 2.395 mln tonnes of grains and pulses, Zaporozhye – 2.246 mln tonnes, Kherson - 1.82 mln tonnes.
