As of August 7, Russia harvested grain crops throughout the areas of 16.9 mln ha, or 36.2% of the planned harvested areas (in 2013 – 15 mln ha). The produced volumes reached 55.8 mln tonnes of grains in bunker weight (in 2013 - 41.3 mln tonnes), with the yield of 3.3 t/ha (in 2013 – 2.76 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 11.5 mln ha, or 45.4% of the harvested areas (in 2013 - 10.4 mln ha). The produced volumes totaled 41.4 mln tonnes (in 2013 - 31.5 mln tonnes) with the average yield of 3.6 t/ha (in 2013 – 3.03 t/ha).
Russia harvested winter and spring barley throughout 3 mln ha, or 31.6% of the planned areas (in 2013 - 2.3 mln ha). The produced volumes reached 8.7 mln tonnes (in 2013 - 5.4 mln tonnes) with the average yield of 2.92 t/ha (in 2013 – 2.29 t/ha).
In addition, agrarians harvested winter rapeseed throughout 249.3 thsd ha, or 20.6% of the harvested areas (in 2013 - 200.7 thsd ha). The production totaled 428.8 thsd tonnes (in 2013 - 349.4 thsd tonnes) with the yield of 1.72 t/ha (in 2013 – 1.74 t/ha).
