As of August 21, Ukraine harvested over 35 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
According to operative data as of August 21, Ukraine harvested 35.057 mln tonnes of early grains and pulses throughout the areas of 9.605 mln ha, or 98% of the planned areas without the Crimea. The average yield totaled 3.65 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukrainian agrarians harvested winter wheat throughout 6.023 mln ha (99%). The produced volumes totaled 24.298 mln tonnes with the yield of 4.03 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested winter barley throughout 3.007 mln ha (98.9%). The produced volumes reached 9.322 mln tonnes with the yield of 3.12 t/ha.
Ukraine harvested rye throughout 178.6 thsd ha (96%), the produced volumes reached 455 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.55 t/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 588.8 thsd tonnes of oats throughout 234.1 thsd ha (95%), with the average yield of 2.52 t/ha.
Agrarians produced 372.5 thsd tonnes of peas, with the yield of 2.43 t/ha. The harvested areas reached 153.5 thsd ha (99%).
In addition, agrarians harvested 74 thsd tonnes of buckwheat (37%) throughout 50 thsd ha, with the average yield of 1.47 t/ha.
Ukraine harvested 101 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 56 thsd ha (55%). The average yield totaled 1.79 t/ha.
Also, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 150 thsd tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 149 thsd ha (3%), with the average yield of 1.01 t/ha.
Ukraine started harvesting soybeans, and produced 43 thsd tonnes of the oilseed throughout the areas of 24 thsd ha (1%). The average yield of the oilseed totaled 1.78 t/ha.
