As of August 10, Russian agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 17 mln ha (in 2014 – 18.2 mln ha), or 36.1% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 51.6 mln tonnes in bunker weight (in 2014 – 58.8 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.04 t/ha (3.23 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 11.9 mln ha, or 44.2% of the plan (in 2014 – 12 mln ha), and produced 39.6 mln tonnes of the grain (41.1 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.34 t/ha (3.59 t/ha).
Agrarians harvested 8.2 mln tonnes of spring and winter barley (10.1 mln tonnes) throughout 3.2 mln ha, or 35.6% of the harvested areas (in 2014 – 3.6 mln ha). The average yield totaled 2.57 t/ha (2.85 t/ha).
As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 103.5 thsd ha or 10% of the plan (in 2014 – 275.6 thsd ha), and produced 185.8 thsd tonnes of the oilseed (in 2014 – 485 thsd tonnes). The average yield totaled 1.79 t/ha (1.76 t/ha).
Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 2.2 thsd ha, or 4% of the planned areas.
