As of August 13, Russian agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 18.7 mln ha (in 2014 – 19.2 mln ha), or 39.8% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 55.5 mln tonnes in bunker weight (in 2014 – 61.1 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.97 t/ha (3.19 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 12.6 mln ha, or 46.8% of the plan (in 2014 – 12.2 mln ha), and produced 41.4 mln tonnes of the grain (43.6 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.29 t/ha (3.58 t/ha).

Agrarians harvested 9.6 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley (11.4 mln tonnes) throughout 3.8 mln ha, or 42.6% of the harvested areas (in 2014 – 4.1 mln ha). The average yield totaled 2.54 t/ha (2.82 t/ha).

Agrarians of Stavropol Krai started harvesting sunflower seed - as of the reporting date, the oilseed harvested areas reached 0.5 thsd ha. The production volumes totaled 0.6 thsd tonnes, with the average yield of 1.2 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 120.5 thsd ha or 11.6% of the plan (in 2014 – 280.6 thsd ha), and produced 242.1 thsd tonnes of the oilseed (in 2014 – 495.3 thsd tonnes). The average yield totaled 2.01 t/ha (1.77 t/ha).

Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 5.1 thsd ha, or 9.2% of the planned areas.
