As of August 18, agrarians harvested 36.819 mln tonnes of grains and pulses, including 91 thsd tonnes of late grains, throughout the areas of 10.204 mln ha, or 70% of the plan. The average yield totaled 3.61 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukraine harvested buckwheat throughout 21 thsd ha (16%). The production volumes totaled 25 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.23 t/ha. Also, agrarians harvested 66 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 34 thsd ha (32%), with the yield of 1.94 t/ha.
Ukraine started harvesting soybeans, and already produced 7 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The planted areas reached 4 thsd ha, with the yield of 1.82 t/ha.
As for the planting campaign of winter crops, agrarians prepared the soil throughout 4.841 mln ha (59%) for autumn field works.
As of the reporting date, agricultural producers planted winter rapeseed throughout 68 thsd ha (8%).
