According to the updated information, as of August 20, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2016 throughout the areas of 632.1 thsd ha, or 3.7% of the plan (in 2014 – 332.1 thsd ha), announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Also, agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 21.9 mln ha (in 2014 – 22.1 mln ha), or 46.5% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 62 mln tonnes in bunker weight (in 2014 – 67.2 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.84 t/ha (3.04 t/ha).
In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 14 mln ha, or 52% of the plan (in 2014 – 12.9 mln ha), and produced 44.3 mln tonnes of the grain (44.9 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.17 t/ha (3.49 t/ha).
Agrarians harvested 11.9 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley (14.3 mln tonnes) throughout 4.9 mln ha, or 54.6% of the harvested areas (in 2014 – 5.3 mln ha). The average yield totaled 2.45 t/ha (2.68 t/ha).
Russia harvested 9.1 thsd tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 6 thsd ha, or 0.1% of the plan. The average yield totaled 1.52 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 171 thsd ha or 16.5% of the plan (in 2014 – 333.2 thsd ha), and produced 326.7 thsd tonnes of the oilseed (in 2014 – 590 thsd tonnes). The average yield totaled 1.91 t/ha (1.77 t/ha).
Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 9.3 thsd ha, or 16.7% of the planned areas.
