According to the updated information, as of August 27, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2016 throughout the areas of 2 mln ha, or 11.7% of the plan (in 2014 — 1.8 mln ha), announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Also, agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 25.2 mln ha (in 2014 – 25.7 mln ha), or 53.5% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 68.3 mln tonnes in bunker weight (in 2014 – 73.8 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.71 t/ha (2.87 t/ha).
In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 15.6 mln ha, or 57.9% of the plan (in 2014 – 14.2 mln ha), and produced 47.3 mln tonnes of the grain (47.2 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.04 t/ha (3.32 t/ha).
Agrarians harvested 13.8 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley (16.7 mln tonnes) throughout 5.7 mln ha, or 63.9% of the harvested areas (in 2014 – 6.6 mln ha). The average yield totaled 2.42 t/ha (2.54 t/ha).
Also, agrarians started harvesting corn, which planted areas reached 28.9 thsd ha (1% of the plan). The production volumes totaled 122.5 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 4.24 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested sunflower seed throughout 67.3 thsd ha, or 1% of the planned areas, and produced 18.3 thsd tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 2.05 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 229.1 thsd ha or 20.1% of the plan, and produced 415.2 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The average yield totaled 1.81 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested 98.8 thsd tonnes of soybeans throughout 56.7 thsd ha, or 2.8% of the planted areas, with the yield of 1.74 t/ha.
Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 17 thsd ha, or 30.5% of the planned areas.
