According to the updated information, as of October 1, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2016 throughout the areas of 11.9 mln ha, or 69.5% of the plan (in 2014 — 11.4 mln ha), announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Also, agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 39.6 mln ha (in 2014 – 38.8 mln ha), or 89.2% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 95.5 mln tonnes in bunker weight (97.6 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.41 t/ha (2.52 t/ha).

In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 23.9 mln ha, or 93.2% of the plan, and produced 61.4 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 2.57 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 17.6 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 7.8 mln ha, or 94% of the harvested areas. The average yield totaled 2.26 t/ha.

Also, they harvested corn grain throughout 930.1 thsd ha (34% of the plan). The produced volumes totaled 4.7 mln tonnes, with the yield of 5.01 t/ha.

Russian agrarians harvested 600.7 thsd tonnes of rice throughout 98.2 thsd ha or 49.4% of the planned areas. The average yield totaled 6.12 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested sunflower seed throughout 3.2 mln ha, or 47.7% of the planned areas, and produced 5.4 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.68 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 623.1 thsd ha or 61.6% of the plan, and produced 867.4 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The average yield totaled 1.39 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 1.3 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 778.8 thsd ha (39%) with the yield of 1.61 t/ha.

Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 40.6 thsd ha, or 71.4% of the planned areas.
