According to the updated information, as of October 5, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2016 throughout the areas of 12.8 mln ha, or 74.7% of the plan (in 2014 — 12.9 mln ha), announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Also, agrarians harvested grain crops and pulses throughout 40.7 mln ha (in 2014 – 40.3 mln ha), or 91.6% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 97.6 mln tonnes in bunker weight (100.5 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.4 t/ha (2.49 t/ha).

In particular, Russia harvested winter and spring wheat throughout the areas of 24.5 mln ha, or 95.6% of the plan, and produced 62.3 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 2.54 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 17.8 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 7.9 mln ha, or 95.9% of the harvested areas. The average yield totaled 2.25 t/ha.

Also, they harvested corn grain throughout 1.07 mln ha (39% of the plan). The produced volumes totaled 5.3 mln tonnes, with the yield of 4.98 t/ha.

Russian agrarians harvested 688.4 thsd tonnes of rice throughout 109.4 thsd ha or 55% of the planned areas. The average yield totaled 6.29 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested sunflower seed throughout 3.9 mln ha, or 57.4% of the planned areas, and produced 6.3 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.62 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 700.2 thsd ha or 69.2% of the plan, and produced 941.8 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The average yield totaled 1.35 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 1.3 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 842.4 thsd ha (42.2%) with the yield of 1.59 t/ha.

Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 40.8 thsd ha, or 71.8% of the planned areas.
