As of October 1, 2015, the general production of grains and pulses in all types of Russian agricultural households reached 95.1 mln tonnes in bunker weight, an increase of 1.7% compared with the same date last year, announced the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat) on October 15.
In particular, the agricultural organizations, which concentrated 68.2% of the planted areas under grains and pulses (excluding corn), harvested the crops throughout 87.4% of the planned areas (in 2014 – 85%).
Taking into account the summer losses of crops and usage of some crops for feeding purposes, agrarians would have to harvest remaining grains throughout nearly 8.7% of the planted areas of grains and pulses (excluding corn).
As of the reporting date, the agricultural organizations harvested 65.5 mln tonnes of grains. The average yield totaled 2.49 t/ha, including wheat - 43.8 mln tonnes, with the yield of 2.68 t/ha.
