Ukrainian agrarians successfully completed the autumn planting campaign. In particular, the territores of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts under the control of Ukraine planted winter crops throughout 99% and 96% of the planned areas respectively, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Oleksiy Pavlenko on December 9.
As of the beginning of December 2015, Ukrainian agrarians harvested almost 61 mln tonnes of grains and pulses.
The Minister stressed that such grain production volumes in Ukraine ensure the food security and export potential of grains in the country. At the same time, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy expects that the general grain exports will increase to 40-70 mln tonnes by 2020, with growing of the production to 80-100 mln tonnes.
