In the current year, the general grain harvest in Russia totaled 103.4 mln tonnes in clean weight, as opposed to the previously planned index of 101.5 mln tonnes. In particular, wheat production reached 61.2 mln tonnes, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on December 15.
Also, the Ministry forecasted grain production in the country in 2016 at the level of 104 mln tonnes. At the same time, next year the harvest volumes of wheat will slightly decrease to 60.4 mln tonnes.
