As of April 4, agrarians of Ukraine planted early spring grains throughout the areas of 1.496 mln ha, or 59% of the plan. On the same date last year, the index totaled 1.539 mln ha, or 67%, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, agrarians planted spring barley throughout the areas of 1.114 mln ha (57%), peas — 146.1 thsd ha (79%), spring wheat — 109.6 thsd ha (64%), and oats — 125.9 thsd ha (57%).
Also, agrarians provided additional fertilizing works of winter grain crops throughout 6.477 mln ha, or 94% of the forecast (in 2015 — 6.88 mln ha), winter rapeseed — 474.8 thsd ha, or 85% (729 thsd ha).
