As of April 11, 2016, Belarusian agricultural organizations provided the planting campaign of early spring grains and pulses (without corn, buckwheat and millet) throughout the areas of 515.8 thsd ha or 54.6% of the plan. But on the same date last year, agrarians planted grains throughout 683.1 thsd ha (71.2%), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.
In addition, agrarians planted flaxseed throughout 6.3 thsd ha (11.5%), and spring rapeseed – 14.4 thsd ha (20.7%).
Also, Belarusian agrarians provided additional fertilizing of winter grain areas throughout 1.182 mln ha (90.1%), winter rapeseed – 153.7 thsd ha.
