As of April 15, 2016, Belarusian agricultural organizations provided the planting campaign of early spring grains and pulses (without corn, buckwheat and millet) throughout the areas of 625.2 thsd ha or 66.1% of the plan. But on the same date last year, agrarians planted grains throughout 813.4 thsd ha (84.8%), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.
In addition, agrarians planted flaxseed throughout 9.3 thsd ha (17%), and spring rapeseed – 23.7 thsd ha (34.1%).
Also, Belarusian agrarians provided additional fertilizing of winter grain areas throughout 1.267 mln ha (96.5%), and winter rapeseed – 165.7 thsd ha.
