The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia estimated the general harvest of grains and pulses in the country in the current year at the level of 106.4 mln tonnes, reported the press-service of the Ministry on May 18, with reference to data of the department of plant growing, mechanization, chemization and crop protection.
According to the announcement, winter crops will form 49.9 mln tonnes (up 3.1 mln tonnes compared with the record in 2015) from the general harvest volumes, and spring crops - 56.5 mln tonnes (up 1.48 mln tonnes).
In particular, in the current year the harvest of wheat will reach 62.47 mln tonnes, including 44.57 mln tonnes of winter wheat (up 2.5 mln tonnes), and 17.9 mln tonnes of spring wheat (up 1.7 mln tonnes).
