The southern region of Kazakhstan started harvesting grain crops. According to the regional agricultural departments, as of July 12 agrarians harvested grains throughout 83.2 thsd ha, or 9.3% of the planned areas, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 167 thsd tonnes of grains, with the average yield at 2.01 t/ha.

In particular, in Almaty oblast agrarians harvested grains throughout 3.9 thsd ha, Jambyl oblast - 31.1 thsd ha, Kyzylorda oblast - 4.2 thsd ha, and South Kazakhstan oblast - 44 thsd ha.
