In the current year, the average yield of early grains and pulses in Ukraine will exceed the index of 2015 by 0.4 t/ha, which will completely ensure the domestic demand and export potential, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on July 20, referring to updated harvesting data from regions.
According to the announcement, slight decreasing of the planted areas (down 3.6% compared with the previous year), due to unfavorable weather conditions in the autumn period, will not cause any reduction of the general grain production.
Also, the Ministry stressed that the weather and climatic conditions for growth and development of winter and spring crops are rather favorable.
