According to the regional agricultural departments, as of August 4 Kazakh agrarians harvested grains throughout 587.7 thsd ha, or 36.9% of the planned areas, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, agrarians produced 1.297 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 245 thsd tonnes compared with the same date last year. The average yield totaled 2.21 t/ha (up 048 t/ha).
In particular, in Almaty oblast agrarians harvested grains throughout 166.1 thsd ha, West Kazakhstan oblast — 37.4 thsd ha, Jambyl oblast — 198.6 thsd ha, Kyzylorda oblast - 5.4 thsd ha, and South Kazakhstan oblast — 180 thsd ha.
