In 2016, Russia will harvest at least 110 mln tonnes of grains, declared the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Evgeny Gromyko on August 6.

According to him, all factors support such forecast - both harvesting campaign rates, and the level of preparation in the regions.

Alslo, E.Gromyko noted the growth of the average yield of grain crops in Russia, which reached the level of 4.15 t/ha, against 3.7 t/ha in the same period last year.

As a reminder, in late June the Minister of Agriculture, Alexander Tkachev forecasted that the grain harvest in the current year will reach 106 mln tonnes, and in the case of favorable weather conditions the index may reach 110 mln tonnes.
