As of August 8, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the areas of 17.7 mln ha (on the same date in 2015 — 15.6 mln ha), or 37.4% of the planned areas (47.3 mln ha). The produced volumes reached 62.5 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 3.54 t/ha (in 2015 – 48.4 mln tonnes with the yield of 3.1 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 11.7 mln ha (42.4% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 45.7 mln tonnes, with the yield of 3.89 t/ha.
Russia harvested 9.2 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 3.1 mln ha (37.3%). The average yield totaled 2.97 t/ha.
Also, Russia harvested winter rapeseed throughout 73.2 thsd ha (7.4%), and produced 142.6 thsd tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.95 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested flaxseed throughout 7.8 thsd ha only, or 16.2% of the planted areas.
