As of August 11, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the areas of 19.7 mln ha (on the same date in 2015 — 17.6 mln ha), or 41.8% of the planned areas (47.3 mln ha). The produced volumes reached over 68 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 3.45 t/ha (in 2015 – 52.9 mln tonnes with the yield of 3.02 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 12.8 mln ha (46.1% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 48.9 mln tonnes, with the yield of 3.83 t/ha.
Russia harvested 10.9 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 3.8 mln ha (37.3%). The average yield totaled 2.83 t/ha.
Also, Russia harvested winter rapeseed throughout 78.3 thsd ha (7.9%), and produced 151.8 thsd tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.94 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested flaxseed throughout 9.4 thsd ha only, or 19.5% of the planted areas.
