According to the regional agricultural departments, as of August 12 Kazakh agrarians harvested grains throughout 786.1 thsd ha, or 5.1% of the planned areas, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, agrarians produced 1.712 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 346 thsd tonnes compared with the same date last year. The average yield totaled 2.18 t/ha (up 0.52 t/ha).
In particular, in Almaty oblast agrarians harvested grains throughout 519.1 thsd ha, West Kazakhstan oblast — 149.8 thsd ha, Jambyl oblast — 547.9 thsd ha, Kyzylorda oblast - 8 thsd ha, South Kazakhstan oblast — 371.9 thsd ha, East Kazakhstan oblast — 50.6 thsd ha, Pavlodar oblast – 7.8 thsd ha, Aktobe oblast – 9.5 thsd ha, and Karaganda oblast — 0.5 thsd ha.
