As of October 31, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the general areas of 44.9 mln ha (on the same date in 2015 — 43.5 mln ha), or 94.7% of the planned areas. The produced volumes reached 119.8 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 2.67 t/ha (in 2015 – 105.4 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.42 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 27.2 mln ha (98.1% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 75.8 mln tonnes, with the yield of 2.79 t/ha.
Russia harvested 19.1 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 8.1 mln ha (97%). The average yield totaled 2.35 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 1.7 mln ha (59.9%), and produced 9.7 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield at 5.6 t/ha.
Russia harvested 1.2 mln tonnes of rice throughout 186.7 thsd ha (90.6%). The average yield totaled 6.6 t/ha.
Russian agrarians continued the sunflower seed harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested 9.8 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout 6.1 mln ha (81.9%). The average yield totaled 1.59 t/ha.
Also, Russia harvested rapeseed throughout 888.8 thsd ha (89.3%), and produced 1.1 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.21 t/ha.
Also, agrarians continued harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached 1.9 mln ha (84.8%), the produced volumes – 2.9 mln tonnes, the average yield – 1.56 t/ha.
As of October 31, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 16.9 mln ha, or 97.3% of the planned areas (in 2015 — 15.7 mln ha).
