According to regional agricultural departments, as of November 1 Kazakhstan completed the harvesting campaign of grains. Agrarians produced 23.68 mln tonnes of grains. The average yield totaled 1.54 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, agricultural enterprises harvested grains throughout 15.353 mln ha, or 100% of the planned areas.
In the current year, the planted areas of agricultural crops in Kazakhstan totaled nearly 21.7 mln ha, up 445.1 thsd ha compared with last year. At the same time, grain crops areas totaled 15.4 mln ha, oilseeds - 2 mln ha. In particular, wheat planted areas reached 12.2 mln ha (up 441.4 thsd ha), forage crops - 4 mln ha (up 254.4 thsd ha) cotton seed - 109.3 thsd ha (up 10.1 thsd ha), and sugar beet - 12.1 thsd ha (up 2.7 thsd ha).
