The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine increased the forecast of the general grain harvest in the current year from 63 mln tonnes to 64 mln tonnes, declared the head of the Ministry, Taras Kutovyi on November 18.
According to the Ministry forecasts, the preliminary average yield will reach 4.4 t/ha. Generally, it is the maximum figure for the whole history of the country.
T.Kutovyi said that in Vinnytsia oblast agrarians harvested more than 5.4 mln tonnes of grains, Odessa oblast - 4.5 mln tonnes, Poltava and Kharkiv oblast - nearly 4 mln tonnes each, Cherkasy oblast - over 3 mln tonnes, Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 3.7 mln tonnes, Kirovohrad oblast - 3.5 mln tonnes, Kiev oblast - 3 mln tonnes, etc.
