As of March 27, Russian agrarians planted spring crops throughout the areas of 745.4 thsd ha, or 1.4% of the forecast. In particular, the planted areas under spring grains totaled 532.9 thsd ha (1.7%), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
So, the Southern Federal District planted spring crops throughout 535.2 thsd ha, or 8.6%, and the North Caucasian District – 192.5 thsd ha, or 10.7%, and the Central District – 16.9 thsd ha, or 0.2%. Also, Primorsky Krai planted spring crops throughout 0.8 thsd ha (0.2%).
As of the reporting date, the Chechen Republic planted sunflower seed throughout 1.1 thsd ha, or 11% of the planned areas in the region.
At the same time, the above specified regions, as well as the Volga and Northwestern Federal Districts, provided additional fertilizing of winter crop areas. As of March 27, they realized the field works throughout 6.9 mln ha (39.5% of the planted areas).
