Ukraine: five oblasts started harvesting early grains

Five oblasts of Ukraine started the harvesting campaign of early grains and pulses. As at June 29, the harvested areas reached 95 thsd ha, and the production - 313.9 thsd tonnes of grains, with the average yield at 3.3 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on June 29.

In particular, Kherson oblast harvested grains throughout the areas of 27.3 thsd ha, Odessa oblast - 36.1 thsd ha, Mykolaiv oblast - 21.2 thsd ha, Dnipropetrovsk oblast - 5.6 thsd ha, and Zaporizhia oblast - 4.8 thsd ha.

The harvested areas under winter wheat totaled 10.2 thsd ha, the production - 28 thsd tonnes, and the average yield - 2.75 t/ha. The areas under winter barley totaled 80.8 thsd ha, the production - 275.9 thsd tonnes, and the yield - 3.42 t/ha. Agrarians harvested spring barley throughout 2.8 thsd ha, and produced 6.7 thsd tonnes of the grain, with the average yield at 2.4 t/ha.

Also, agrarians harvested 3.2 thsd tonnes of peas throughout 1.3 thsd ha, with the yield at 2.56 t/ha.
