Russia will need 5-10 years to increase the general grain harvest by 30%, reported the Minister of Agriculture, Alexander Tkachev, on July 4.
Despite the fact that in Russia is expected to reduce grain production volumes to 100-105 mln tonnes (against 120.8 mln tonnes in 2016), in terms of favourable weather conditions in 2018 Russia will be able to reach the harvest at the level of 2016, and continue increasing the volumes in following years.
Previously, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Arkady Dvorkovich declared that Russia will increase grain production by 30% in the following years.
