Southern regions of Russia continued harvesting grain crops and pulses. Also, some regions of the Central and Volga Federal Districts began the mass harvesting campaign, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

As of July 13, Russian agrarians harvested grains throughout the general areas of nearly 2.7 mln ha (in 2016 - 4 mln ha), and produced 12.2 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 4.49 t/ha (in 2016 - 16.8 mln tonnes, and 4.23 t/ha).

In particular, the Southern District harvested 8.8 mln tonnes of grains throughout 1.9 mln ha. The yield totaled 4.67 t/ha.

The North Caucasian District harvested grains throughout 832.9 thsd ha, and produced 3.4 mln tonnes. The average yield totaled 4.08 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 1.9 mln ha, and produced 9 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 4.69 t/ha.

Russia harvested 2.3 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 548.7 thsd ha. The average yield totaled 4.25 t/ha.

In addition, the Republics of Adygea, Crimea, North Ossetia-Alania, the Chechen Republic, as well as Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais, continued harvesting winter rapeseed. As of the reporting date, Russian agrarians harvested winter rapeseed throughout 57.4 thsd ha, and produced 118.3 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The average yield totaled 2.06 t/ha.
